Bright knits are the result of my last years’ resolution. Not that I have anything against black and white; but for winters on the Northeast, we need a little more than just a cool aprés-ski sweater to brighten our day. Enter: Colorful knits! Let me tell you this, I was not a fan of those turtlenecks or roll neck sweater and here I am. Life can be very funny that way. Roll neck sweaters are something that I would wear for chilly days, where I can get away without a coat or have one just in case. Normally, I would be okay with a denim, but this time I thought of sprucing the outfit with a few of my favorite prints. I love my old check jacket that is best reserved for structured looks. It is not very warm, so I layered it over a chunky sweater.
This animal print woven scarf is even older. It’s three years old and let’s put this situation in perspective. You are done with your outfit and the minute you open your coat closet; you spot that odd one out from a pile of chunky scarves. You wear it , because it reminds you of olden times and goes with your outfit too. Yay! These Steve Madden boots are my recent splurge. I was looking for python prints. like I mentioned before. I love prints, particularly florals and animal prints. When it comes to bags, I am more into mini bags. This one is from Mango and I love the embellishment on it.
Tip: If you are looking for affordable options, Asos has great roll neck sweaters (linked below photos) in great rates.
So, my question to you all is; would you prefer a chunky sweater that does not need a coat or a fine knit layered with a thick woolen coat?
